NSS Unit No. 49, organised the Meri Maati Mera Desh Amrit Kalash Yathra on 11/10/2023 at 1.30PM with the official inauguration by Principal incharge Sri. Shankara Kandige and guidance from NSS programme officer Kavya Chandran. The Yathra provide a platform to the volunteers to connect with their roots and appreciate the rich tapestry of Indian culture. NSS volunteers played significant role by collecting sample of soil from their households and depositing them in the Amrit Kalash. The programme helps to educate volunteers about the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the struggle for independence. At last programme concluded by planting saplings as a part of Amrit Vatika.
