Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur ® (VVS), formerly known as The Puttur Education Society was established in 1915 with an objective of providing education in the rural and backward areas in and around Puttur.
Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur ® at present is running 52 educational institutions in Puttur, Sullia, Bantwal and Beltangady taluks of Dakshina Kannda District in Karnataka State. The institutions set up by the Sangha cover a wide spectrum of educational centres staring from kindergarten to professional streams. The mission of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur ® is to provide education to the youth so as to make them responsible citizens of this great country who possess deep sense of pride in our cultural heritage and ethical values.
