As part of the National Sports Day celebration, special lecture program on the contributions of India’s renowned hockey player Major Dhyan Chand was organized in collaboration with NSS and IQAC.
The program was presided over by the college Principal, Dr. A. Mohan Kuntar. As the resource person, retired Principal Prof. P. N. Moodithaya participated and explained Major Dhyan Chand’s immense contribution to the growth of Indian hockey, his achievements, and the inspiration he has given to the field of sports. He called upon the youth to develop an interest in sports and cultivate discipline, hard work, and a spirit of dedication.
NSS volunteer Puneeth welcomed the gathering. Volunteer Aishath Isana compered the program. Volunteer Bhavyashree proposed the vote of thanks.
The college’s honorary advisor of the management board, Kajampady Subramanya Bhat, IQAC coordinator Ms. Madhushree B, NSS Program Officer Varshith K., along with teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the college were present at the program. The program instilled sportsmanship, patriotism, and inspiration to achieve among the students.
