The 80th Independence Day Celebration was organized by NSS Unit No. 49 , Nalanda College of Arts and Science, Perla on 15th August 2026, Saturday at 9:30 AM in the College Campus.
The program commenced with prayer by students. This was followed by flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, Dr. Jayagovinda Ukkinadka, Secretary, Governing Council, NCAS Perla. After hoisting the flag, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of Independence Day and the role of youth in nation building.
The event was graced by the presence of the College Vice Principal Sri. Shankar K, NSS programme officer Sri. Varshith K, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and children from Central School. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, followed by distribution of sweets to all participants.
The program was well coordinated by NSS volunteers and helped in fostering patriotic spirit among all.
