A grand welcome program was organized at Nalanda College for the first-year degree students. Various cultural programs were held to warmly welcome the new students of the college.
The chief guest of the program, Dr. Jayagovinda Ukkinadka, addressing the students, said, “Education is not just about imparting knowledge; it is a powerful tool for personality development and nurturing leadership qualities.” He advised the students not to limit their studies merely to scoring marks but to actively participate in social activities as well.The program was presided over by the college principal, Shankara Khandige, who warmly welcomed the students and encouraged them to achieve excellence in the future.
On this occasion, the following achievers of the Kannur University examinations for the academic year 2024-25 were felicitated:
Ganasamruddhi, who secured the First Rank in B.Sc. Geography,
Archana, who scored the highest marks in B.Com Finance,
Thripthi, who scored the highest marks in B.Com Co-operation,
Jagan, who scored the highest marks in B.A.,
Swathi, who secured the First Rank in M.A. Economics.
At present, Ms. Swathi is serving as a lecturer in the Economics Department of the college.
As part of the program, students presented dance, songs, and various cultural performances. The college staff, senior students, and freshers actively participated and made the program a grand success.
