A welcome program (Aarambham)for the first-year degree students of the 2024-25 academic year was held at Nalanda College. The program was presided over by the college principal, Shankar Khandige, who spoke about the facilities available in the college and its significance. The chief guest, CA Sudheer Kumar Shetty, president of the Nalanda College Management Committee, inaugurated the program and spoke about the importance of personality, discipline, and character in one’s life.
Subrahmanya Bhat, the honorary advisor, gave a brief overview of the college’s growth. Certificates were distributed to students who completed government-approved computer courses, and prizes were awarded to the winners of competitions held in the college.
Shilpa P, head of the English department, welcomed the gathering, and student Harshitha compered the program. Nishmitha, head of the management department, anchored the program. The college management committee secretary, Dr. Jayagovind Ukkinkad, and committee members, faculty, and staff were present.
